D.A.R. rough drafts due Monday, November 2. Please make sure to look the paper over with your child.

Social Studies Guidelines

Assignment Notebook:
Assignment Notebooks are necessary to keep the students organized.   The students change classes 6-7 times a day.   The assignments are written on the board in each classroom.  It is the responsibility of each student to write the assignment into the assignment notebook.

A calendar displaying upcoming tests in all classes is posted in the each homeroom.

Homework:
The school has a proper heading from 1st-8th grade and it should be used on all notebook paper.

Homework may consist of worksheets, workbook pages, vocabulary definitions, or small activities.

Tests will follow each chapter.  Map tests are given throughout the year. Projects will also be completed when appropriate.

Supplies:
Notebook, paper, pencil pouch, textbook and workbook are needed each day.

A folder for Social Studies is required.  The students need to keep papers for the duration of the chapter.  Graphic organizers, vocabulary, worksheets and workbook pages will all be used as the study guide for tests.

Classroom Behavior:
Students are to treat others with courtesy and respect. Students are expected to keep their hands to themselves and off other student’s belongings.
