RELIGION: Chapter 7 WE WORSHIP GOD

Vocabulary- adore, worship

 

MASS: 4th graders are readers and cantors this week.

            CANTORS: IAN ESPICH AND CONNOR SCHMIEDLIN

            FIRST READING: KEATON VOREIS

            RESPONSORIAL: ANNE BLAKE

            PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL: KILEY PITTS

 

READING: The story for the week is called GRASS SANDALS  and it is an AR test.  The test will be taken on Tuesday after the the class discussion.

 

Vocabulary- chanted, nipped, pouch, restless, scribbled, stitching

 

Leveled readers are: Green—BOOKWORM’S BAND--(THURSDAY)

                                         Red—BAD DAY, GLAD DAY-(FRIDAY)

                                         Blue—NONSENSE, MR. LEAR--(WEDNESDAY)

 

ORAL READING:  Shiloh

 

Spelling pretest will be on MONDAY over the following words:

The final test will be on FRIDAY!!!

 

Look over theSpellingcity website. The students are able to play all the games that are available.

 

SPELLING WORDS are: changed, watch, fresh, shoulder, whatever, south, chimney, scratch, shove, wheat, cloth, themselves, crunch, batch, harsh, whittle, thoughtful, birch, switch, theater

*Chaper 7 Test will be on Friday

           

SOCIAL STUDIES:

INDIAN PROJECT:

            *The project is being worked on in groups of two.  The activities (2 activities per person) will be due on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. The activities will be completed at home and brought to school on or before November 19. Some students have already brought in their activities and they look great.

 

            *Diorama Day is Monday, November 17, 2014.  I am supplying the shoe box, crayons, markers, paints, tape, glue, and construction paper.  Students need to bring in any materials from home to assemble their diorama of their tribe.

 

 

OTHER NOTES:

***** Please make sure your child has a blue St. Michael sweatshirt/sweater in their locker.  Many mornings our classroom has a chill to it and many kids are cold without their sweatshirt/sweater to wear.
