RELIGION:  Chapter 11 WE LOVE ALL THAT IS HOLY

FEBRUARY PRAYER: ACT OF CONTRITION AND APOSTLE’S CREED

 

MASS: 4th graders are responsible for the following mass assignments on Wednesday.

            CANTORS:

                  FIRST READING: Emily Garcia

                  RESPONSORIAL: Helen Macwilliams

                  PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL: Kiley Pitts

 

READING: The story for the week is called The Rajah’s Rice. It is  an AR story and the test will be taken on Tuesday after our class discussion over the story.

 

Vocabulary- attendants, awkwardly, celebration, knowledge, released, spice

 

Leveled readers are:          Green—Nine Sense

                                         Red—The Case of the Missing Math Teacher

                                         Blue—Albert Einstein

 

ORAL READING:  

 

Spelling pretest will be on Monday and the final test will be on Friday!!!

 

Look over theSpellingcity website. The students are able to play all the games that are available.

 

SPELLING WORDS are: final, uncle, several, model, terrible, pencil, lion, taken, simple, women, reason, gentle, total, settle, level, medical, evil, listen, common, cotton

ENGLISH:

The following students are completely finished with multiplication and división facts:

MORGAN, ANNE, HARPER, EMILY, HANNAH, ELENI, IAN

 

 

           

SOCIAL STUDIES: We are going to take a little break from social studies for a while and concéntrate on science skills for the next several months.  We will return to social studies after spring break.

 

SCIENCE:

*Current Electricity

            circuit, current electricity, series circuit, parallel circuit, fuse, circuit breaker

 

*Electricity and Magnets

            pole, magnetic field, electromagnet, electric motor, generator

 

OTHER NOTES:

 

***MRS. SHORTER IS WORKING WITH THE KIDS WHO WOULD LIKE TO BE ALTAR SERVERS!!! TURN IN THE PERMISSION SLIP AND SHE WILL START TRAINING YOUR CHILD!!!
