Religion: Jesus has ascended to His Father in heaven. We talked about the Holy Spirit coming to us. Jesus promised that we would never be alone. We made posters showing all the strength we receive from the Holy Spirit.
Language Arts: We have been writing and sharing. We worked on several papers about the USA. We read about John Henry and other tall tales.
Math: The children have been using different strategies to solve problems. We have been working ahead in our math books on additions and subtraction. They all have done a wonderful job this year. Please keep reviewing during the summer months with your child.
Science: We are starting the unit on the Sun and planets.
We had a great visit to the Plymouth Hospital. The children were very well behaved. We wrote some great thank you notes. We also enjoyed the animal program. Most of the children touch all the creatures. Thank you to all the moms, dads, and grandparents who helped with Olympic Day. We had a fantastic day. The children were tired but truely enjoyed themselves. I loved the Hippo game in the gym.
Monday is a dress down for $1.00. Wednesday the children will need a lunch and Thursday we will have pizza. If your child does not want pizza please send a lunch with them. The Plymouth School is out on Tuesday so the children will need transportation to school on Wednesday and Thursday.
Thursday we have the talent show and the first graders will be singing a song.
Have a great weekend!
