Sept. 14, 2014
Religion: God shares His life with us. We are joined to the church family when we are baptized. We are all brothers and sisters. God want us to be kind and caring to eachother.
Language Arts: We worked on the short /i/ sound and the digraph /ck/ this week. When there is a short vowel words that ends with the /k/ sound we ususlly add /ck/. Our story was What Will Pig Do? We worked on the sequencing of the days of the week and the different activities we do during the week. Days of the week begin with capital letters.
Math: We started subtraction. The children are seeing the relationship between addition and subtraction. It is the reverse operation. Remember to study the math facts and return them each day, even if the paper is used.
Social Studies: We follow rules to keep everyone safe. There are different rules for the different activities we participate in.

Please remember to practice all the vocabulary words that come home each week. The children need to be able to read these words fluently. Be sure your child returns the math facts sheets even if they had worked on the whole paper. It is used as a review.
