Our 5th–8th grade science classrooms have been full of creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and hands-on learning this week! Our 5th graders put their scientific thinking to the test with an exciting Egg Drop Lab, designing and building protective containers to see if they could keep an egg intact when dropped. The 8th graders took on a Bridge Building Challenge, working together to design and construct bridges while considering strength, stability, and how well their structures could handle weight. These activities gave students the opportunity to put classroom concepts into practice while learning that sometimes the best lessons come from trying, testing, and trying again!
Our 7th graders also had a great time with their kindergarten buddies, creating their own games and putting their creativity and understanding of science into action. Meanwhile, our 6th graders explored motion and forces through a Slinky Drop activity, using the movement of the Slinky to observe how waves and energy travel through a system. From eggs and bridges to homemade games and Slinkies, it was an exciting week of discovery in science! We are proud of the way our middle school students continue to ask questions, work together, solve problems, and discover that science is all around them.

¡Nuestros salones de ciencias de 5.º a 8.º grado estuvieron llenos de creatividad, resolución de problemas, trabajo en equipo y aprendizaje práctico esta semana! Nuestros estudiantes de 5.º grado pusieron a prueba sus conocimientos científicos con un emocionante Laboratorio de Caída de Huevos, diseñando y construyendo recipientes protectores para ver si podían mantener el huevo intacto al dejarlo caer. Los estudiantes de 8.º grado aceptaron el desafío de construir puentes, trabajando juntos para diseñar y construir estructuras mientras consideraban la resistencia, la estabilidad y cuánto peso podían soportar. Estas actividades permitieron a los estudiantes poner en práctica lo aprendido en clase y descubrir que algunas de las mejores lecciones vienen de intentar, probar y volver a intentarlo.
Nuestros estudiantes de 7.º grado también disfrutaron de una excelente actividad con sus compañeros de Kindergarten, creando sus propios juegos y poniendo en práctica su creatividad y conocimientos de ciencias. Mientras tanto, nuestros estudiantes de 6.º grado exploraron el movimiento y las fuerzas mediante una actividad de caída con Slinkies, observando cómo las ondas y la energía se mueven a través de un sistema. ¡Desde huevos y puentes hasta juegos creados por los propios estudiantes y Slinkies, fue una semana emocionante de descubrimiento científico! Estamos orgullosos de cómo nuestros estudiantes de secundaria continúan haciendo preguntas, trabajando juntos, resolviendo problemas y descubriendo que la ciencia está a nuestro alrededor.

Các lớp Khoa học từ lớp 5 đến lớp 8 đã có một tuần học thật sôi nổi với sự sáng tạo, giải quyết vấn đề, tinh thần làm việc nhóm và nhiều hoạt động thực hành! Học sinh lớp 5 đã thử thách khả năng tư duy khoa học của mình qua hoạt động Thí nghiệm Thả Trứng, thiết kế và chế tạo những vật bảo vệ để xem liệu có thể giữ cho quả trứng nguyên vẹn khi được thả xuống hay không. Học sinh lớp 8 tham gia Thử Thách Xây Cầu, cùng nhau thiết kế và xây dựng những cây cầu, đồng thời tìm hiểu về độ bền, sự ổn định và khả năng chịu trọng lượng của các công trình. Những hoạt động này giúp học sinh áp dụng kiến thức đã học vào thực tế và nhận ra rằng đôi khi những bài học tuyệt vời nhất đến từ việc thử nghiệm, kiểm tra và không ngại thử lại.
Học sinh lớp 7 cũng có một hoạt động tuyệt vời với các bạn nhỏ lớp Kindergarten, cùng nhau sáng tạo và thiết kế những trò chơi của riêng mình, đồng thời vận dụng khả năng sáng tạo và kiến thức khoa học. Trong khi đó, học sinh lớp 6 khám phá chuyển động và lực qua hoạt động thả Slinky, quan sát cách sóng và năng lượng truyền qua một hệ thống. Từ những quả trứng và cây cầu đến những trò chơi do chính học sinh tạo ra và những chiếc Slinky, đây thực sự là một tuần học Khoa học đầy khám phá và hào hứng! Chúng tôi rất tự hào khi thấy các em học sinh tiếp tục đặt câu hỏi, hợp tác, giải quyết vấn đề và khám phá rằng Khoa học hiện diện ở khắp mọi nơi xung quanh chúng ta.
